Julie is a speech-language pathologist who has 13 years of experience treating diverse populations, including: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Julie has worked in a variety of settings, including: acute care, inpatient rehabilitation (pediatric and adult), outpatient rehabilitation (pediatric and adult), home health (pediatric and adult), and skilled nursing facilities. Julie began her career in Annapolis, Maryland and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1997. In addition to her work with patients, she has supervised clinical fellows and has served as a clinical instructor to a number of students. She is a member of the Dysphagia Interest Group of Georgia, Georgia Speech and Hearing Association, and American Speech-Language Association. A pediatric speech therapist, in practice for 20 years. Treats children, exclusively, ages birth to 12. Graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Speech Pathology from Auburn University in 1985 and a Master of Science in communication Disorders degree from Auburn University in 1097. Worked at The Atlanta Speech School with hearing impaired children 1987-1991 teaching speech and language skills in an auditory-oral classroom of preschoolers. Worked with Monica Wojick and Suzanne Davis at their private practice, Pediatric Therapy Associates 1991-1992. This practice emphasized a comprehensive team approach to treating children with neuromotor impairments, including many children with cerebral palsy and Down Syndrome, which was NDT based. Leslie Levine is a wife and mother of 2 boys (preschool and elementary school). She loves kids and pursued a career in speech-language pathology due to her passion for teaching children while being intrigued by the medical side of the field. She has been in Atlanta since 1997 focusing solely in pediatrics while working in various rehab settings and private practice. She started her career in outpatient rehabilitation at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and became a Level 2 therapist & Team Lead helping to manage the speech team, mentor, and supervise other theraptists. She enjoys being part of a multi-disciplinatry team to treat each child as a "whole child." She served on the Craniofacial Team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and continues to enjoy helping children with cleft lip/palate speech concerns as well as helping children with various speech and language disorders due to craniofacial syndromes. She is a Hanen Certified Speech-Language Pathologist and has taught the parent training course, It Takes Two to Talk, to help parents become language facilitators. Also, certified in the More Than Words program to help parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Leslie pursued her private practice full time in 2002 servicing children in homes, private schools, and daycares in metro Atlanta. Her practice servces children and families in the Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Buckhead, and Midtown areas at this time. Currently, Leslie is co-president of The Pediatric Therapy Network. Marla Mann is a speech-language pathologist and owner of Building Bridges Therapy. She is a Georgia native and has worked in a variety of settings throughout the metro area including the school system, private clinics, and hospitals. Marla graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She completed her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders at Georgia State University. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (ASHA) and presented at their annual convention in 2005 in San Diego on Child Abuse and Communication Disorders. Marla opened Building Bridges Therapy in 2008 to offer therapy services to the North Fulton and Forsyth County area.
