0-3 Months Able to hold head steady when supported in sitting.
4-5 Months Lifts head off floor when placed on stomach.
Weight-bears on elbows with head extended on stomach.
6 Months Rolls from back to stomach and from stomach to back.
7-9 Months Sits independently and plays with a toy placed in his/her hand.
10-12 Months Can get into sitting position from lying independently.
Pulls to stand at furniture and steps to both sides while holding on independently.
Walks with a push toy or with one hand held.
13-15 Months Takes steps independently.
15-17 Months Stands from sitting on the floor independently.
18-24 Months Steps up and down stairs with both feet on each step
Jumps down off a low step and jumps forward on floor approximately 4 inches with feet together
25-30 Months Walks up stairs with one foot on each step (alternating feet) and steps down stairs with both feet on each step.
Can balance on one foot for 3 seconds without falling. (Be sure to check both sides.)
31-26 Months Peddles a tricycle independently 10 feet.
37-40 Months Walks down stairs with one foot on each step(alternating feet).
42-47 Months Hops on one foot for 8 jumps.
Runs well with no loss of balance.
